Plumbing Photo Album: Adding a New Shower and Upgrading Plumbing in a Grand Rapids Bathroom

Nate wanted to add a new shower insert in his first floor bathroom, which required some new water lines as well as the installation of the shower. To ensure the water supply remained strong, he also needed to upgrade the basement water lines from degrading galvanized steel to PEX, which is a flexible plastic that can be installed right alongside the pipes it's replacing.

Water Supply for Shower

Here, you can see the pipes that will run water up to the shower head.

New PEX lines will run water upstairs to the remodeled bathroom.

The water lines from the basement are run through the floor of the remodeled bathroom to be attached to the new shower.

The plumbing we upgraded was older galvanized steel, which needs to be replaced as it wears out.
